Might be : Ajith's recent movies are not that good and comparable to the benchmarks he set with Vaali, Mugavari, KKKK, Dheena, Villan etc
Varalaaru is the only movie that gave him an opportunity to showcase his talents. Kireedom was good and I liked it. Main issue is with his consistency in delivering the HITS and satisfying the expectations of the fans and neutral people (not vijay fans !) Now, he is back on track with some good script selection. Irrespective of these many setbacks, his HC FANS have always stood with him and HIS MOVIES ARE THE BEST OPENERS NEXT TO RAJINI AND KAMAL. HE IS LITERALLY THE KING OF OPENING. IF IT CLICKS, THE MOVIE BECOMES A ROCKER AND COLLECTS MORE MONEY (VARALAARU).

Nope. I watched aadhi and may I might have got confused why that movie ran for 200 days. I agree that it happens for all fan fights. One site will report a false news and other might report a truth. That is why u can't come to a conclusion. But u can twist the sites to write in favour of you - esp with money. Best example is sify. The facts that they write can be verified easily with diistributors and theatre owners. with that their credibility will come down and they have already hit the deck.
I was commenting on ur correlation with JAPAN FANS Of rajini and fans of vijay. it sounded weird and that is why I said "It is not kittaadha maanga". just coz some website doesn't report abt ajithfans base that doesn't mean he is inferior to anyone. THis is the truth. ajith has more number of male fans. vijay has more no of kids as fans. female fans is almost equal. (since females go after choclate heroes mostly) ajith fans spend more amount of money and they watch his movies many times in the first two weeks. that is why his movies collect more in the initial weeks (ji, varalaaru etc). comparitively, vijay has solid kids fan base and his movies start gradually and since he has c centre fans mostly, the ticket rates wont be high. so net collection will be very less. kids normally come to theater after few weeks and that is why his movies start of gradually and settle in.

nope never wud i say that his fanbase is less - he IMO would have equal fanbase as that of vijay - that is why they are the top two in young tamil guys. that comment on japan fans of rajini was that it sounds odd to hear something like that and i verified with some of my friends in japan and it was true. adhu pole, somethings are wierd but ought to be agreed when most media report it - not referring to sites and sify alone - even print media etc. pinne ellaaa media yum kaashu vaangikkum ennu thonnaan thodangiyaal then ultimately we cannot believe any news, is it not
aadhi - 200 days - no comments - though i personally liked that movie, it was a flop - say some 30-40 days it would have run i guess MAXXX. it is similar to 800 days of chandramukhi etc. jus for record sake

pakshe again confusion - ajith fans ethra spend cheydhaalum (adhaayadhu black ticket etc) - theatre capacity anusarichalle collection?! say if ajith and vijay movies release in some 5 theatres with 800 - 1000 seating capacity in chennai and in the first week they both are houseful then its the same collection right?! then whts the difference in terms of opening?! or are u saying that vijay's movies are not houseful after 2-3 days and then gradually it becomes houseful
pinne c centres ticket rate etc - adhum ajith movies nu same alle? also i guess ee sify/behindwoods okke collection idunnadhu chennai kku maathramaanu - and they do refer to Ajith as the King of Opening - but i never understood that - and believe me, i dont feel sour hearing that :)

pakshe i sort of tend to disapprove on ur 'hardly any vijay fan' thing - i guess most fans here (and everywhere else) know and would accept that aadhi was a flop - infact even distributors made a real issue out of that. the big mistake on that movie's part was that they delayed the release by one day at the last moment - one day collections atleast would have given them some more money - some internal politics etc.
