Suresh Gopi, Mukesh, Pasupathi, Jaya Soorya and Kala Bhavan mani had been casted as heroes in 'Vairam', directed by M.A. Nishad. Bhama, Samvritha and Meera Vasudev are heroines. It is for the first time Pasupathi is acting in a Malayalam film. They are supported by Thilakan, Jagathy, Sai Kumar, K.P.A.C Lalitha, Rekha and others. Under the banner of NASR India, N. Siva Rao is producing the film. The director himself has penned the story. Cherian Kalpakavady has penned the dialogue and screen play. Sanjeev Sankar will wield the camera. Lyrics by Gireesh Puthenchery and M Jaya Chandran has scored the music. The shoot will begin on April 15 at Theni. Other locations are Ernakulam and Thodupuzha.
This is a film which projects good relationship between a Hindu and Christian family. Later this relationship leads to a marriage. Same time another christian family hates this relationship and creates problems.
The story develops in Perumatthurkkara village. Both Hindus and Christians lived there peacefully.The Temple is off Perumathur Kovilakam, during the time of festival people of both religion took their part in ceremonies. If church people do not take part in the Temple festival, that year festival would not be taken place. As part of the ritual, Lakshmikutty Thampuratty of kovilakam takes the sword and lamp of the temple. After some years she fell in love with Mathai of Kalappurakkal tharavad and later marries him. After this incidence, friendly relationship between the Hindus and Christians became stronger than before. Kulathungal Chacko and his brothers envied on this harmonious relation ship and later leads to changes in the story.
Seema and Madhu come in as Lakashmikutty and Mathai. Kalasala Babu comes in as Chacko. Other casts include Babu Antony, Riyas Khan, Lakshmi Sarma, Jagathy, Lena, Sree Latha, Kalpana, Krishna Kumar, T. P. Madhavan and others. Direction of this film is handled by Prasad Valacherry. Story and script are handled by Babu Raj. Lyrics by Rajiv Alungal and music by Surya Narayanan. Under the banner of Thirunakkara films Jain Pallathode is producing this film.

Mukesh dons the role of Pattarumadathil Najeeb, Suresh Gopi as Achuthankutty, Jagatheesh as C.M.Premachandran, Harisree Ashokan as P.M.Premachandran and Muktha as Meenakshi. They were supported by Jagathy, Suraj Vejaramoodu, Sreejith Ravi, Manu Mohit, Ajeer, Manga Mahesh, Zeenath and others. The lyricists are Vayalar Sarat Chandra Varma and Rajeev Alungal. What I heard is that this project is postponed and not shelved...?
